Scouting Is Less about Campfires and More about Sex

Grooming the Next Generation

Parents may have missed two headlines that erupted Thanksgiving week about both the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. and the Boy Scouts of America. What the two organizations appear to have in common is a preoccupation with sex and gender, not campfires.

First, the Girl Scouts felt the need to publish a warning to parents ahead of the holidays that they shouldn’t encourage girls to hug or kiss adult relatives because this somehow confuses them about consent. “Reminder: She Doesn’t Owe Anyone a Hug. Not Even at the Holidays.”

“Think of it this way, telling your child that she owes someone a hug either just because she hasn’t seen this person in a while or because they gave her a gift can set the stage for her questioning whether she ‘owes’ another person any type of physical affection when they’ve bought her dinner or done something else seemingly nice for her later in life.”

The implication being that somehow a child who is made to hug an aunt, cousin or grandparent will grow up, go on a date and expect to do sexual favors in return for her dinner.

Unfortunately, messages from third-party groups today are loaded with anti-men messaging or otherwise a preoccupation with sex. I wrote extensively about another girls group, WomenStrong, who makes it their priority to push gender equality. “Its handbook gives girls the foundational skills they need to become the next generation of young leaders, further propelling progress towards gender equality set forth by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5.” To be clear, this group is decidedly not for gender opportunity but rather equal outcomes.

Although the Girl Scouts of today are not the same as they were 50 years ago, where much of the agenda was on teaching homemaking skills, they have tried to remain relatively wholesome and do not take official positions on transgenders, birth control or Planned Parenthood. Perhaps this is why this latest message got my radar up. It is just another less than subtle message in a long list of propaganda aimed at girls that men are all sexual predators. It’s not that I am against warning girls of the possibility of sexual predators, it was the distasteful holiday attack against normal family affection on a traditional family holiday that raised my eyebrows.

Also on Thanksgiving week, it was reported that a Louisiana Boy Scouts of America leader was charged with more than 500 counts of possessing child pornography. Unfortunately, it isn’t an isolated event. In April 2019, alleged victims came forth accusing thousands of leaders of abuse. “For many, many years there’s been an excavation of what are called the ‘perversion files’ — those are files held and hoarded at the Boy Scouts of America headquarters,” Anderson said during a news conference on Tuesday morning.

“The number of perpetrators in the ‘perversion files’ is an incredible 7,819, according to Anderson, while a staggering 12,254 children were preyed upon by these monsters.”

The group has been plagued by homosexual pedophiles after former Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, who became president of the Boy Scouts of America, and who served under President Obama when “don’t ask, don’t tell” was repealed, urged the group to end its ban on gay leaders, which it did in 2015.

The institutional sexualization of American children has become increasingly ubiquitous as well as contentious. Over the objection of many parents, the Austin School District, voted in October to implement a pornographic sex education policy that includes instruction on anal sex and how to place a condom on an erect penis. “The radical sex education policy will provide graphic instruction on gender identity and mandated support of the LGBT movement. Students in grade school and middle school will also be taught how to get an abortion or obtain birth control pills without parental permission or consent.”

The Drag Queen Story hour, a MassResistance group that has claimed they want to get your children when young, has been busted for having convicted child sex offenders in its group. MassResistance activists have exposed at least three Houston Public Library Drag Queens as convicted child sex offenders.

Dylan Pontiff, a drag queen who helped organize one of these story hour events for children as young as three at the Lafayette Public Library in Louisiana is shown in a video saying, “This is going to be the grooming of the next generation. We are trying to groom the next generation.”

It is worse in the United Kingdom, with schools set to teach children as young as four to masturbate. “The ‘All About Me’ sex education curriculum for Reception (age 4–5) instructs teachers to give children ‘the opportunity to explore a variety of different touch and feel sensations and allow them ‘to decide which they like and dislike.'”

I, too, have a message for parents: It is time to carefully monitor what your local libraries, schools and child organizations are teaching your children and who is doing the teaching. Then get mad, really mad, that your children are being exploited.
